Trump cuts China tariffs after meeting with Xi in South Korea
President Trump says he’s cutting tariffs on Chinese imports by 10% after meeting with Xi Jinping in Busan, citing progress on trade, fentanyl, and rare-earth exports.
China has agreed to tighten chemicals used to produce fentanyl following a visit by FBI Director Kash Patel, he announced Wednesday.
"That was the sole purpose of my trip to China to eliminate these precursors. And if successful, we would suffocate the drug trafficking organizations ability to manufacture fentanyl in places like Mexico," Patel told reporters during a White House press briefing.
